Bio

Before turning her focus to coaching, Judi enjoyed a career teaching and counselling others to reach their full potential. She interrupted her career in public education to establish a successful family therapy practice, working with individuals and families as they dealt with grief, addiction or relationship breakdown.

During this time, she also consulted for and contracted with the Department of Indian Affairs, Ministry of Children and Families and private corporations. Judi returned to work in public education in 1999 and is currently a principal with the Coquitlam School District.

A two-time breast cancer survivor, Judi’s encounter with the illness awakened a deep desire to help others find their passion, realize their dreams, and get more from life. In support of this, she became a certified Solution-Focused Coach in 2009 and launched a coaching program to help school administrators advance professionally and increase personal satisfaction.

Outside of work, Judi is a passionate participant in the sport of dragon boating, a highly physical sport that nurtures her body, heart and spirit. It also allows her to connect with other breast cancer survivors. Judi sees strong parallels between dragon boating and her work as a coach; both require unwavering passion, drive, teamwork, camaraderie and reflection. She appreciates the fact that all aspects of her life work in support of each other.
